Edward Lysaght

Edward Lysaght was an Irish poet and songwriter born around 1763 and died on 11 February 1811. He was known for his patriotic and nationalistic poems which often captured the Irish spirit and struggles of his time. Lysaght's works significantly contributed to the Irish literary tradition during the 18th century, and he was also a member of the Irish Parliament and a lawyer. His poetry remains a testament to his love for Ireland and its culture.
